Young Lawyers Section (YLS)

Thank you for your interest in The Macomb County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section (YLS). The YLS is an active group of young lawyers who are either 35 years of age or younger, or have been in practice for five years or less.

The YLS offers younger lawyers an opportunity to participate in community service projects, professional development programs, leadership deveopment activities and social events.



The objectives and purposes of the YLS include:

• Sponsorship and support of activities of interest to young lawyers.
• Cooperate, support, promote and coordinate activities with the MCBA and other local and state young lawyer groups.
• To establish good fellowship among the YLS, the MCBA and members of the legal community.


YLS Board of Directors:

The YLS elects its Officers and Directors each April at the MCBA’s Annual Dinner and Awards Banquet.
The Chair of the YLS is provided a seat on the MCBA Board of Directors with full voting privileges.
The YLS Board of Directors takes office each July 1 through June 30.
