Macomb County Bar Foundation (MCBF)

“To encourage Macomb County lawyers and citizens to identify and support charitable causes and institutions which have as their goal the protection, defense, education or assistance of Macomb County citizens, thereby improving the quality of life for those citizens and enhancing respect and esteem for lawyers and the law.”

The Foundation Plaque

The initial drive to accumulate pledges was named the "Macomb County Bar Foundation Founders Club." A unique bronze memorial plaque was commissioned and installed in the lobby of the Macomb County Circuit Court Building. Individual contributions continue to be acknowledged alongside the initial contributors to the Founders Club. Those who still desire to make a donation may have their name added to the existing plaque displayed with the Founders Club plaque. Memorial gifts are also accepted in any gift category.

Who Contributes

The lawyers of Macomb County are responsible in large part for the formation of the Foundation. As the Foundation grew, however, they sought partnership with the community at large, not only to raise the funds necessary to achieve the Foundation's objectives, but also to assist in identifying and realizing those objectives.

Recent recipients of Foundation grants include:

  • The Macomb County Bar Association's Law Day Project -
