Thank you for your interest in The Macomb County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section (YLS). The YLS is an active group of young lawyers who are either 35 years of age or younger, or have been in practice for five years or less.
The YLS offers young lawyers an opportunity to participate in numerous community service projects and professional development programs ranging from Youth in Government projects to Continuing Legal Education Seminars aimed at developing the professional skills of young lawyers. The YLS also offers young lawyers the opportunity to socialize at various YLS sponsored events
Only your own time constraints and desires limit the opportunity for networking and service with other young lawyers and the public.
The objectives and purposes of the YLS include:
• Sponsorship and support of activities of interest to young lawyers.
• Cooperate, support, promote and coordinate activities with the MCBA and other local and state young lawyer groups.
• To establish good fellowship among the YLS, the MCBA and members of the legal community.
The YLS Board of Directors
The YLS elects its Officers and Directors each April at the MCBA’s Annual Dinner and Awards Banquet. The Chair of the YLS is provided a seat on the MCBA Board of Directors with full voting privileges. The YLS Board of Directors takes office each July 1 through June 30.
