Mentor / Mentee Program

This program provides young or newer lawyers the opportunity to discuss various aspects of the law with more experienced lawyers. While the Mentees benefit from such knowledge and guidance, the Mentors also benefit by knowing that their contribution of time helps improve the quality of law practiced in Macomb County. Second Chair Program Judge Douglas Shepherd and magistrate Michael Osaer of the 41-A District Court implemented a second chair program and the MCBA mentoring program is proud to be a part of this project. Anyone with less than three years experience as a member of the State Bar of Michigan is qualified to sit as a second chair and receive compensation while gaining valuable knowledge.
