Macomb County Bar Foundation (MCBF)

The Macomb County Bar Foundation is the charitable affiliate of the Macomb County Bar Association and is a reflection of the Macomb County legal community’s 100 years of public service and civic involvement.

Stacy Buffa - Trustee College Scholarship

The $2,500.00 Macomb County Bar Foundation Trustee College Scholarship recipient is Stacy Buffa of Chesterfield. Stacy is enrolled in the Law Enforcement program at Macomb Community College and hopes to become a police officer in Macomb County.
Brandon Phillips - Trustee College Scholarship

The $2,500.00 Macomb County Bar Foundation Trustee College Scholarship recipient is Brandon Phillips of Chesterfield. Brandon is enrolled at Macomb Community College and plans on attending the Police Academy in Janauary.
Jeffrey Bruss - Trustee Law School Scholarship

The 3,000.00 Macomb County Bar Foundation Trustee Law School Scholarship is awarded to Jeffrey Bruss. Jeffrey is attending Thomas Cooley Law School. At law school Jeffrey is the Associate Editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Journal of Practical and Clinical Law. Currently Jeffrey is working as the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office Extern. Jeffrey is interested in having a career in litigation in Macomb County.
Anthony June - Philip F. Greco Memorial Scholarship

The 3,000.00 Macomb County Bar Foundation Philip F. Greco Memorial Scholarship recipient is Anthony June of Eastpointe. Anthony is in his fourth year at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. He works at the Macomb Couny Clerks Office while attending night classes. Anthony is a Macomb County resident and plans to practice in the area upon graduation.
Erika Monfette - Kimberly M. Cahill Memorial Scholarship

The $3,000.00 Macomb County Bar Foundation Kimberly M. Cahill Memorial Scholarship recipient is Erika Monfetta. Erika is in her last year at Wayne State University Law School. She is currently working at the Wayne State University Law School. In the past Erika has worked for Lakeshore Legal Aid and is committeed to helping those in need.

Carl L. Kniseley - Trustee College Scholarship

The $2,500.00 Macomb County Bar Foundation Trustee College Scholarship recipient is Carl L. Kniseley of Sterling Heights. Carl is enrolled in the Law Enforcement program at Macomb Community College and hopes to join the Warren, Michigan Police Department and eventually become a homicide detective.
Brian Longman - Trustee Law School Scholarship

The $3,000.00 Macomb County Bar Foundation Trustee Law School Scholarship is awarded to Brian Longman. Brian is attending Thomas Cooley Law School. While at law school Brian has interned with Federal District Judge David Lawson, received a Certificate of Merit in Constitutional Law, served as a Grade Appeals Magistrate and volunteers for the Service for Soldiers program. Brian plans to practice real estate law and construction litigation in Macomb County after law school.
Amy E. Lancaster - Philip F. Greco Memorial Scholarship

The $3,000.00 Macomb County Bar Foundation Philip F. Greco Memorial Scholarship recipient is Amy Lancaster of St. Clair Shores. Amy is in her third year at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. She works full time at Comerica Bank while attending night classes. Amy is a Macomb County resident and plans to practice in the area of property rights.
Lindsay B. Willett - Kimberly M. Cahill Memorial Law School Scholarship

?The $3,000.00 Macomb County Bar Foundation Kimberly M. Cahill Memorial Scholarship recipient is Lindsay Willett. Lindsay is in her last year at Michigan State University College of Law. She is currently working for Senator Michael Switalski as a Legislative Aide. Lindsay is also Editor-in-Chief of the Michigan State University journal of Medicine and Law. After graduation Lindsay plans on practicing intellectual property law and fighting for the copyright, trademark, and patent rights of others.

Christopher R. Mykytiak - Trustee Law School Scholarship

The $3,000.00 Macomb County Bar Foundation Trustee Law School Scholarship was awarded to life long "Macomber" Christopher R. Mykytiak of Shelby Township. Christopher is in his second year at the University of Michigan Law School. This summer he will be working at Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone in Detroit.
Sandra S. Jalaba - Philip F. Greco Memorial Scholarship

The $3,000.00 Philip F. Greco Memorial Scholarship recipient is Sandra S. Jalaba of Sterling Heights. Sandra is currently enrolled at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Sandra also works full time as an Immigration Application Specialist. This scholarship originates from the contribution of Foundation Trustee Emil E. Cardamone and honors the memory of the late Philip F. Greco, Esq.
Michelle R. Schimelfening - Trustees College Scholarship

One of the Macomb County Bar Foundation Trustees College Scholarship recipients is Michelle R. Schimelfening of Sterling Heights. Michelle is enrolled in Macomb Community College¡¦s Paralegal Associate¡¦s Degree program. Michelle¡¦s husband and children are also enrolled in college studies. She is looking forward to working in the child protection arena.
Tiffany D. Graves - Trustees College Scholarship

Macomb County Bar Foundation Trustees College Scholarship recipient is Tiffany D. Graves of Clinton Township. Tiffany is enrolled in Macomb Community College¡¦s Law Enforcement program. She is a single mother and is looking forward to becoming a police officer and eventually United States Air Marshal.

Jason Smalarz - Law School Scholarship Recipient

The $3,000 Macomb County Bar Foundation Trustee Law School Scholarship was awarded to Jason Smalarz of Fraser. Jason is currently finishing his J.D. at the University of Detroit Mercy Law and looks forward to a career practicing law. Mr. Smalarzs professional goals are to practice law in Macomb County in order to make a positive impact on the legal community and help those in need.

Mary Hare - College Scholarship Recipient

The 2,500 Macomb County Bar Foundation Trustees College Scholarship recipient was Mary Hale of Sterling Heights. Mary is enrolled in Macomb Community College's Crime Law program. She is a dedicated mother of four and is enthusiastic about finishing her degree to give back to the community. Her goal is to work at a crime lab is Macomb County.
